oh some reasoning behind why I used a wolf for Will beneath the cut

if we assume Hannibal is represented by the Stag (a proxy for the true killer in Will’s unconscious), than I can think of Will as a wolf hunting the stag, which fits with his role of hunting serial killers and also his emotional connection to Hobbs, who was both a hunter and killed and mounted stags and deers, and later continually imagined himself in Hobb’s position as Abigail’s ‘killer’ (with Abigail being represented as a Deer during episode 3 in her nightmare). (owo*) anyhoo yeah I’m being boring sorry!!

I thought it was a no brainer to choose the bird over the cage, but then I realized that she was guarded all those years by *Songbird*. They’d both be symbols of her captivity, so it doesn’t really matter. :T
